2019/20: Injury to the sole of his foot causing him to withdraw from World Cup in Nagoya and Shanghai.

November 2017: Left arm injury at the World Cup in Shanghai. Suffered a recurrence of the injury at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

October 2017: Right knee injury after colliding with a teammate during the 5000m relay at the World Cup in Dordrecht.
