OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Starting at Lillehammer 1994, Czech Republic have competed at every Olympic tournament since the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. Their best result came in their second appearance at Nagano 1998 when they defeated Russian Federation in the gold medal match 1-0, after Petr Svoboda's (CZE) third-period winner, while goaltender Dominik Hasek (CZE) saved all 20 shots to post a shutout.

Having made the quarterfinals in every appearance since 1994, the team finished fourth at PyeongChang 2018, losing in the bronze medal match to Canada 6-4, after falling in the semifinal to eventual gold medallists, Olympic Athletes from Russia.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Previously competing as part of Czechoslovakia, they made their debut in 1993, suffering an overtime loss to Sweden in the semifinal, before defeating Canada 5-1 for bronze. Won their first of six titles in 1996, before winning three consecutive gold medals from 1999 to 2001. They added two more titles in 2005 and 2010.

Last on the podium in 2012, they have lost the bronze medal twice since then, including a shootout to Russian Federation in 2019. Most recently they finished seventh at the 2021 World Championships in Riga, losing 1-0 to Finland in the quarterfinals, with the lone goal scored by Jere Innala (FIN) in the second period.
