Father Frantisek "Frank" Musil (Ice hockey): Played 797 games in the NHL between 1986 and 2001 with the Minnesota North Stars, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, and Edmonton Oilers.

Mother Andrea Holikova (Tennis): In 1985, won the junior ladies singles title at Wimbledon and also reached the juniors final of the US Open.

Brother Adam Musil (Ice hockey): Plays in the Czech Extraliga for HC Dynamo Pardubice. Selected 94th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

SPORTS PERSONS IN FAMILY
Uncle Bobby Holik (Ice hockey): Played 1,314 games in the NHL between 1990 and 2009 for the New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, and Atlanta Thrashers. 60th in all-time games played in NHL history.

Grandfather Jaroslav Holik (Ice hockey): Played professionally in the Czechoslovak Extraliga, most notably for ASD Dukla Jihlava, from 1961 to 1979. Represented Czechoslovakia at the Sapporo 1972 Olympic Winter Games, winning a bronze medal. Also won a gold medal (1972), two silvers (1965, 1966), and three bronzes (1969, 1970, 1973) at the World Championships.

Great uncle Jiri Holik (Ice hockey): Longtime player for Dukla Jihlava in Czechoslovakia. Competed in 14 World Championships between 1964 and 1977, as well as four Olympic Winter Games from 1964 to 1976, winning four medals. Inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1999.
