OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
First competed at the London 1948 Olympic Games. It did not attend the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games but has attended all Olympic Games since.
Pakistan debuted at the Olympic Winter Games at Vancouver 2010, with a single Alpine skier Muhammad Abbas, who also competed at the Olympic Winter Games in 2014 and 2018. Muhammad Karim competed in Alpine skiing in 2014 and 2018, while at PyeongChang Syed Human raced the 15km in cross-country skiing.
Women are yet to compete for Pakistan at the Olympic Winter Games.
Pakistan owes almost its entire Olympic success to one sport - hockey - earning eight of its 10 Olympic medals in that sport. It won a medal in hockey at every Games from 1956 through to 1984 but has failed to win a medal since 1992. It won gold in 1960, defeating India in the final and ending India's 32-year Olympic winning streak, before winning again in 1968 and 1984.
