OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
Haiti has never competed at the Olympic Winter Games. However, it is expected to be represented in Beijing by Richardson Viano, a male Alpine skier. Viano is 19 years old and competed at the 2021 World Championships, finishing 35th in the giant slalom. Haiti did have a competitor in Alpine skiing at the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games, Mackenson Florindo, but he has not yet been selected for Beijing.
Haiti has competed at the Olympic Games 17 times through 2021, appearing in 1900, 1924-32, 1960, 1972-76, and continuously since 1984. At the Olympic Games, it has competed in athletics, boxing, fencing, judo, shooting, swimming, tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wrestling.
Haiti has won two medals in the Olympic Games through 2021. Long jumper Silvio Cator won a silver medal in 1928, and Haiti's free rifle shooting team won a bronze medal in 1924.
