In December 2005, after a year and a half in an orphanage in Haiti, he was adopted by an Italian couple living near Briancon in France. Immediately put on skis by his father, the young Franco-Italian-Haitian climbed all the levels to the international level. "I arrived in France at the age of three, and my parents from the mountains immediately put me on skis. I saw the snow which I called "white powder."
He continued to pursue the sport with aspirations of racing for France. But at the age of 16, he received a call from the Haitian Ski Federation offering him an opportunity to ski under the colors of his native Haiti. “I didn't believe it. I thought it was a joke from a friend. At the end of the call, I did some research on the internet and discovered that there was indeed a ski federation in Haiti. A few days later, I called him back and then we met him with my parents." (olympics.com, 3 Dec 2021; Athlete, 19 Jan 2022)

I really want to go back there to see my roots and especially to give dreams to young people through sport and its values.
