OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
Bolivia formed a National Olympic Committee in June 1932, which was recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1936. In the same year, Bolivia had a single swimmer at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, but the nation did not compete at the Olympic Games again until 1964. Since then, they competed continuously with the exception of Moscow 1980.

Bolivia has competed six times at the Olympic Winter Games (sending skiers in 1956, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 2018), and have been represented by 15 men, 14 in Alpine skiing, while Timo Groenlund skied cross-country at PyeongChang 2018. Women have not yet competed for Bolivia at the Olympic Winter Games.

The country's all-time best finish came at PyeongChang 2018 when Simon Breitfuss Kammerlander placed 32nd in Alpine skiing's slalom.

Bolivian athletes have not yet won an Olympic medal, but at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, the Bolivian under-15 football team won the gold medal in that inaugural competition.
