General
SWITCHING HAND
He threw right and batted right when he was an able-bodied pitcher. When he began playing wheelchair tennis after a spinal cord injury, he used bandages to secure the racket to his right hand. However, in 2019 he began gripping his racket with his left hand, as his right wrist and muscles in his right thumb and index finger had been weakening. "If I only thought about how to represent my country [at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo], I would keep playing with my right hand. But I want to see a long-term future, as the Paralympic Games will not be only held in 2020." (hani.co.kr, 09 Oct 2018; koreabaseball.com, 2009; sportsseoul.com, 26 Jun 2019)
