Highlights

He represented the United States of America in wheelchair rugby between 2005 and 2016. He competed at three consecutive editions of the Paralympic Games between 2008 and 2016, winning gold in 2008, bronze in 2012 and silver as vice-captain of the team in 2016. IMPAIRMENT ORIGIN, INTEREST IN WHEELCHAIR RUGBY
He is paralysed from the waist down as a result of a car accident in 1996. He was inspired to try wheelchair rugby after he saw the sport on television during the last week of his rehabilitation programme. Advice from a coach during his first training session convinced him to pursue the sport. "People have made a life out of rugby, played for their country and done some amazing things. FURTHER EDUCATION
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Oregon State University in the United States of America in 1997, he then studied for a master's degree in marketing and entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado in the United States of America between 2002 and 2004.
