He began playing wheelchair rugby in 2014. (dr.dk, 06 Aug 2019)
:
He was encouraged to take up the sport during his rehabilitation with the Soldiers Project, a programme organised by the Danish Olympic Committee [DIF] to assist injured veterans. "One day at the DIF Soldiers Project, they asked if we wanted to play wheelchair rugby. Then we did. We threw six to eight men into separate teams on a handball field, and then we just smashed into each other. It was amazing." (dif.dk, 15 Oct 2019)
:
To compete at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. (dif.dk, 15 Oct 2019)
:
"You grow stronger and you don't think about things so much when you practise sports. It's just fun. And then you learn to live with your impairment faster through sports. You learn that you are impaired, but that it is OK. Suddenly it's just everyday life." (dif.dk, 15 Oct 2019)
