FOOTBALL CAREER
In 1991 he signed a professional contract with J.League football club JEF United Ichihara Chiba in Japan. He had to retire from the sport in 1993 after damaging his spinal cord in a traffic accident. He gained a Japan Football Association [JFA] Class B coaching license, and in 2013 he began working as a football coach at Josai International University in Japan.
