She began playing wheelchair basketball in grade five of primary school, and took up the sport competitively in grade 10 of high school. (Cyber Sports YouTube channel, 09 May 2021)

Her friend asked her to play mini-basketball in grade three of primary school, and then she was introduced to wheelchair basketball by her mother who wanted to see her daughter continue basketball. She decided to become a wheelchair basketball player when she participated in a training camp in Australia where she had friendly matches with players from different countries.
