STARTING IN WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL
She discovered wheelchair basketball during the final year of her physical education studies. She was already a basketball coach. "A player did a wheelchair basketball presentation and asked for a volunteer coach to train alongside him. As I was the only one in basketball, my schoolmates pushed me to join him. CHALLENGES
She began working as head coach of the Colombia men's wheelchair basketball team in 2017. "For a woman, working as a coach is very difficult in many countries. I think that when I worked in Italy it was more difficult. But once they know the work that is done the respect is also very big. I receive a lot of respect in Colombia and all around the world because of that. They already know that with a certain look they have to be silent.
