He was a member of the French national able-bodied triathlon team before his accident. He also competed in Para biathlon and Para cross-country skiing at the Paralympic Winter Games in 2006 and 2010, and at the 2017 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, United States of America. In June 2021 he fell off his bicycle during the Aydat Triathlon in France. He injured his right quadriceps femoris [thigh muscle], broke a finger on his left hand and landed heavily on his back. He returned to cycling five days after the accident, before starting swimming again in early July, and running five days later, despite still suffering pain when running. In early 2017 he was affected by injuries that prevented him from competing at the Gold Coast World Series in Queensland, Australia, the Yokohama World Series in Japan, and the World Cup event in Besancon, France. Triathlon has always been his passion. He became more serious about Para triathlon after participating at the 2011 World Championships in Beijing, People's Republic of China, where he noticed that the competitiveness of the sport had increased since he had first tried it.
