She has represented Japan in both Para cross-country skiing and Para biathlon. She won bronze in the 12.5km individual standing biathlon event at the 2006 Paralympic Games in Turin, and claimed silver in the standing sprint classic style cross-country event at the 2010 Games in Vancouver.
