She took up Para table tennis at age 34. "The first year was very recreational, and in the second year we began intensifying the training and I competed in provincial and national tournaments. I would just fall over and say I am not going anymore, and in those moments my family is who lifts me up and encourages me to continue. I was a young mother, at 17 years old.
