When he first tried table tennis he did not like it, but after his family moved from Ljubljana to Domzale [Slovenia] and bought a table, he began to enjoy the sport. "I played with the neighbours and with my father. I immediately fell in love with the sport, I wanted to play it all the time. Before that, I was a more reserved child, I had a hard time approaching people and speaking to them." (modre-novice.si, 11 Dec 2019)

General
TRAINING WITH ABLE-BODIED ATHLETES
He trains with able-bodied athletes as he rarely gets the opportunity to practise with Para table tennis players with his classification. "I like to play with everyone. I play and train more with able-bodied athletes and I am more used to them. However, I would definitely benefit from more training with Para table tennis players from my category, as this would make me aware of their weaknesses and strengths in the game. I am the only one in Menges [Slovenia]. I'm probably the only one [in Slovenia with his classification] or there are very few of us. I hope that with greater exposure for Para table tennis players, this number will increase and that people with impairments will be encouraged to come forward. People with an impairment have different tactics. They also play more thoughtfully. They analyse the opponent, find a weak point and then attack it. That's why it's hard to play against them, you have to get used to it." (modre-novice.si, 11 Dec 2019)
