"I started by coincidence. A neighbour, my friend, called me and said, 'Try table tennis, see if you like it'. I went to a club in Mostoles, and was introduced to coach Adolfo Gomez." That first day he asked if he could stay and watch the training, which he did for three hours straight. The next day he came back to watch again, and eventually he began training with Gomez.
