MYOCARDITIS
She was diagnosed with myocarditis [inflammation of the heart] after she contracted COVID-19 in November 2020. The diagnosis came following a COVID-19 study conducted by Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany that she took part in after she was tiring easily during training. "I noticed that my body was tired and not bursting with strength. My cardiologist said I should make sure that my pulse does not go above 120 - normal training is almost impossible at the moment [speaking in January 2021]. But I think I will have enough time to catch up [before the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo]."
