He was introduced to table tennis by his sister's mathematics teacher, who was president of a table tennis club. "He knew I practised sport and invited me to try it. It was fun and I liked the ambience of it, so I got hooked and began practising. Later, I met a coach from the French national team who told me, 'Come with me, I can make you a champion', and I followed suit.
