"As a child, we had a table tennis table in our yard, and my friends and I spent days on end at it. At some point, I realised that it was my sport. Then dad made me a table at home, from ordinary furniture and books. Unfortunately, in early childhood I suffered a hand injury. After an unsuccessful operation, the ulna did not heal correctly - this is how I became impaired. But this did not distract me from table tennis. I went to a sports club and met coach Vitaly Furundzhi, to whom I am grateful for the knowledge I gained." (chr.aif.ru, 03 Jun 2013)
