RETIREMENT PLANS
He says he plans to retire from international competition after the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. He took a break from his studies at Korea Nazarene University in Cheonan to focus on preparing for the Games. "After finishing the first semester of my fourth year in 2019, I took a leave of absence and went all-in to prepare for the Paralympics. It's difficult, but I try to think positively. Delaying the Games by one year may be a good thing. I will do my best with the thought that it is my last Paralympics." (webzine.koreanpc.kr, 01 Aug 2020; sports.chosun.com, 31 Mar 2020)

AMBITION
He hopes to become a psychologist after retiring from competitive Para swimming. "I'm thinking of studying for a masters' degree in psychology. I want to help people take their anxieties out of their heart. Not to avoid them but to overcome them." (webzine.koreanpc.kr, 01 Aug 2020)
