General
EARLY DAYS
She says she grew up confident about her impairment, but began to use swimming as an outlet when she became more self-conscious in her teenage years. "I was ashamed of nothing growing up. From the end of elementary school that changed a little. I told myself to make new friends but I was afraid of whether people would like me. People who had hands the same would see a girl with one hand like theirs but not the other. Many people asked to see my hand because I would hide it. I saw the water as a refuge and a revenge. Swimming was the only thing that really made me feel myself. In the water I could not hide and I could not mask myself, the water was a safe haven in which even my disability was not an obstacle." (Ability Channel YouTube channel, 07 Aug 2018; ilfaroonline.it, 13 Sep 2019)

DENTAL TECHNICIAN
She has worked as a dental technician in Italy. "I work in a dental practice as an assistant and wear my hand in a glove." (Ability Channel YouTube channel, 07 Aug 2018)
