RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
He began considering retirement in 2017, but committed to competing at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo after his wife died in a car accident in November 2018. "I decided to come back for my son. He's the main reason. My son is showing a lot of interest and potential in swimming. I want to spend more time bonding with him after I retire and then I'll teach him everything I know about swimming." OTHER ACTIVITIES
When he is not training he works on his jackfruit farm in his hometown of Limbang in Malaysia. His farm is the product of a project organised by the Limbang government.
