RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
She felt a major disappointment when she could not take part in the 2019 National Games in Cartagena, Colombia, after her rivals could not compete as they did not have the qualifying mark. "It was very hard because I trained so hard and could not compete." She thought about quitting the sport but coach Luis Carlos Calderon convinced her to continue. "He motivated me to carry on and that is why I decided in early 2020 to move to Bucaramanga [Colombia], where he lives." (lavilla.com.co, 28 Jul 2021)
