AID FROM AN IDOL
During his childhood, he did not have financial conditions to purchase new prosthesis, and he even used a wooden one. "I was supposed to stay for two years with a prosthesis, and I stayed with it for four years. A child during his growth stage. I did not care much, and my family never treated me as a disabled person. The prosthesis could not handle me, I just wanted to play football, to run, so I used to break them." Later he was introduced to the Brazilian Para swimmer Daniel Dias, who embraced him as his apprentice and passed on prostheses he no longer used. "I do not even have words to describe Daniel. He helped me from the beginning with the prostheses. It was like an older brother giving clothes that does not fit anymore to the younger brother. He won new prostheses, and handed the used ones to me. Daniel is an inspiration, my big brother." (ge.globo.com, 29 Aug 2019)
