She was involved in Para skiing at international level between 2009 and 2013. She represented Netherlands in Para cycling at the 2015 World Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, finishing eighth in both the C2 500m time trial and C2 3km individual pursuit. She was previously involved in able-bodied rowing prior to her impairment. She became involved in Para rowing through her partner, who worked as a volunteer at the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation. "They asked me if I was interested in Para rowing and after a week of consideration I decided to try it.
