A swimmer pior to her impairment, she initially returned to the sport after her accident. "When I was able, I then resumed swimming in Provins [France] with the able-bodied and competed at regional level. My father and my mother are part of the Cercle Aviron Nogentais rowing club in Nogent-sur-Seine [France]. I also gained a license to help them train young people." She was then approached by a national Para rowing coach, who was searching for a new crew member for the PR3 coxed four boat. "I really wanted to try it. Impairment Details
In March 2017 she was involved in a skydiving accident while training with the French National Gendarmerie Intervention Group [GIGN], a police tactical unit in France. She fractured vertebrae and sustained injuries to both legs and her left ankle. She underwent several surgeries, including lumbar spinal fusion and ankle joint replacement. "I was 26 years old. I had a bad fall. My back and legs were paralysed. I gradually recovered the use of my legs. The ankle was the most problematic. I spent several months in a wheelchair, I lost all my muscle mass. OCCUPATION
In 2012 she joined the National Gendarmerie, a national police force in France. She moved on to join the force's Republican Guard and in 2016 she joined the French National Gendarmerie Intervention Group [GIGN], a police tactical unit of the French National Gendarmerie.
