After her accident, she wanted to choose a sport that would allow her to train by herself. She also enjoys being physically strong, as it helps her support her husband. FAMILY
She took time away from sport to give birth to her two children. She was out of competition for around eight years before returning to training in 2017. She also cares for her husband, who has a degenerative condition that means he uses a wheelchair. "My impairment doesn't determine my life, I determine my impairment.
