"One day I was watching sports on TV, they were showing the [2016] Paralympic Games in Rio. I saw people being pushed in wheelchairs, lifting weights, and I was like, 'Wow, I can do this', because before then I was a bodybuilder. So, I developed interest for the game. AFRICAN PARALYMPIC COVERAGE
In 2021 he spoke about the International Paralympic Committee [IPC] providing free-to-air coverage of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo to 49 sub-Saharan African territories. The initiative is part of the AT2030 programme's Para Sport Against Stigma project. "During the [2020] Olympics I saw some of my least athletic friends post and share highlights and commentary about the Games. This was not only about the sport but also the different discussions surrounding the Games. I thought it was interesting how trending topics and visibility can cause people to talk about things that they would otherwise overlook. So, for me broadcasting the Games and its highlights is an opportunity to make Para sports trend enough for people to talk about it and this will help fight disability stigma here in Ghana and Africa. I think broadcasting the Games and coverage can help raise awareness of Para sports and help Para athletes to tell our stories and showcase our achievements." (lboro.ac.uk, 17 Aug 2021)
