FROM ATHLETICS TO POWERLIFTING
She represented Jordan in athletics [discus throw] at the Paralympic Games in 2004 and 2008. She then made the switch to Para powerlifting and competed at the 2010 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "There have been a lot of changes to the rules in athletics, so I thought that powerlifting could be a sport that would fit me. It is also easier to win medals in powerlifting than athletics."
