FEATURE FILM
In 2020 a television drama based on his life, entitled 'Kretsul', was released and won that year's Eurimages Co-Production Development Award at the Transilvania International Film Festival in Romania. The award, with a first prize of 20,000 Euros, was open to entries for feature film projects by first and second-time directors from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Georgia, Moldova, Hungary, Greece, Ukraine, the Russian Federation and Turkey. The drama, directed by Alexandra Likhacheva and produced by Anna Shalashina, both from the Russian Federation, also focused on Kretsul's relationship with coach Vitaly Gligor.
