He began judo at age six. His formative club in his youth was the Judo Club Roiffieux in France. "I did a lot of competitions in judo in primary and junior high school, but then at age 15, following the deterioration of my vision, I switched to Para judo." Although he aspires to compete at the Paralympic Games, he says a career in engineering is his first priority. "Judo has always been a pleasure, a passion for me. When I was young I decided not to join a national youth training hub because I wanted to focus on my studies first.
