Goalball - Team Belgium

Belgium competed at the first Paralympic goalball tournament in Toronto in 1976, losing the bronze medal match to Denmark. At the team's most recent Paralympic appearance, in London in 2012, they recorded three wins and a draw from their five matches in the group stage, but lost their quarterfinal 3-0 to eventual silver medallists Brazil.

Belgium qualified for Tokyo after finishing third at the 2018 World Championships in Malmo, which was their first medal at the world championships. After topping their group in Malmo they defeated Islamic Republic of Iran in the quarterfinal stages, but went down 10-5 to eventual runners-up Germany in the semifinals. The team bounced back to thrash Lithuania 9-2 in the third-place match.
