He served as assistant coach of Kibirksties-MRU women's basketball club in Lithuania between 2015 and 2018, before taking over the role of head coach at the same club in the 2018/19 season. He also worked as an administrator of the Lithuania women's basketball team for seven years.

SURPRISE APPOINTMENT
After working in Lithuanian basketball for a number of years, he was appointed head coach of the Lithuania men's goalball team in March 2019. "The offer was completely unexpected. I thought a lot about it because goalball is a new sport for me. I knew that the Lithuanian national team was strong, with high achievements, but I did not know much about the game and the rules. However, the representatives of the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee, the Lithuanian Blind Sports Federation, and the team promised to help me. In addition, Sarunas Jukna [Lithuania head coach between 2017 and 2019] also started from scratch. I have work experience as a coach, life experience. So, I accepted this unexpected challenge."
