"I started getting interested in horses when I was a kid, but all of my family rode so for me it was kind of a normal thing to start doing. Mum loves horses so she taught us to love horses too. When I was born, my brothers were playing a sport called horseball - it's like basketball on ponies. By the time I was old enough to walk I started riding and when I was seven I started playing too. Impairment Details
In March 2016, at age 17, she was at Brussels Airport in Belgium during a terrorist attack that saw two bombs explode in the departure hall, which resulted in massive internal injuries, second and third-degree burns, a spinal cord injury and the amputation of both lower legs. "As soon as I realised I was going to be okay my first question was, 'When am I going to get back on my horse?'"
