She began riding at age six at a pony riding school in Norway. "Para equestrian came into my world when, as a 26-year-old, I became a helper for a blind girl in the Norwegian national team. The team leader asked if I wanted to become a Para rider too. This meant that I had to be classified, so I took a small plane to Rodekro, Denmark, where I was classified at a convention."
