She discovered the sport through a school promotion that allowed youngsters to try different activities for free during the school year. She also credits the sport for helping her gain confidence after her accident. She combines her training on the horse with cardio activities such as hand cycling and swimming. She also practises vaulting in order to improve her balance on the horse.
