His impairment is the result of an accident at a skating competition in 2007. He broke both his legs [right femur, left tibia and fibula], sustaining a loss of sensitivity in his left leg below the knee as well as permanent nerve damage. (diarioadn.co, 28 Nov 2012)

LIFE CHANGING MEDAL
He won bronze in the C4 4km pursuit at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "There were a lot of times ahead of the competition in which I experienced fear, nervousness and stress that you only feel at the Paralympic Games. It's something unique that cannot be experienced in other major events. That made me realise that I still need to work more to be a better person rather than being a better athlete.
