Impairment Details
In December 2005 he crashed into a barrier during a cycle race and broke his leg badly, as well as tearing blood vessels. The accident damaged the nerves in his right foot and left his ankle immobile. He had five operations to save his leg, and was in hospital for two months. (blogger.com, 17 Dec 2015)
