General
RACE ORGANISER
During the COVID-19 pandemic he was unable to compete and train as normal. In July 2020 he decided to organise a time trial race where he lives in Angola, IN, United States of America, with the support of the local sheriff who closed the roads for the event. It was set up within three weeks and got support from local businesses, while Davis sent letters to houses along the route to inform them what was happening. "I wasn't sure what people were going to think, or even know about what was going on, so I thought it would be good to say something to them. I said in the letter, to come out and watch us. Little did I know that people would come out and were really cheering us, handing out water, you name it. It was incredible from start to finish. I've been at races at nationals that didn't have that many people out cheering, and we're a small town! That was so awesome. I think we want to do it again, for sure, maybe after Tokyo. And this time, I will take more than three weeks to plan it. We definitely can make it a bigger event. The interest is there." (teamusa.org, 20 Jan 2021)

MILITARY
He served as a staff sergeant in the US Army before he was medically retired due to his injuries. (teamusa.org, 01 Sep 2016; hillsdale.net, 15 Jul 2016)
