She was missing being able to take part in sports, so she ordered a handbike after reading an article about the sport. "I thought of swimming but the swimming pools were not accessible with a wheelchair. Then I went on the internet and found out about handcycling. I needed some exercise and some outdoor activity. I think I liked handcycling because of the feeling of freedom to go far and be a little tired, to be tired for the first time in a long time.
