In 2001 he injured his left arm in a traffic accident. "I hit a tree and my left arm was destroyed. I damaged by shoulder, my forearm needed a skin graft and my ulnar and radial nerves were also damaged. PAST PARALYMPIC PAIN
He will make his Paralympic debut in Tokyo after failing to make the Spanish team for three previous Paralympic Games. "It is a dream that I have been chasing for a long time. I have been climbing steps little by little, first in tests in Andalusia, then I moved into the Spanish championships and then made the leap with the national team in international competitions. But, three times, I saw the train of the Paralympic Games pass by me. It was hard when you keep pedalling for one Paralympic cycle after another and you do not appear on the squad list.
