She was part of the Germany wheelchair basketball team that won gold at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. She also claimed silver medals in the sport at the 2008 and 2016 Games. After the 2016 Games she took up wheelchair racing and competed at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, England. She began Para cycling in 2019 and won gold in the H3 road race at the 2019 World Championships in Emmen, Netherlands.
