He got involved in Para sport as a way accepting his impairment, initially starting with wheelchair rugby. "I understood that accepting disability was the best way forward. My mentality is still that you have to do the things you can. You can't stay in place and complain. If we missed the [wheelchair rugby] workout, the group started calling and asking after you.
