She took up the sport in 2015. (welovebudapest.com, 17 Apr 2018)

"In 2013 I had knee surgery. There was a choice of sports for patients every year, and that was when I first saw the kayakers. I tried it for the first time in early 2015 and stayed with it. I've been eyeing the sport since I was a kid. When I'm on the water, all the problems go away and I only smell the spring and hear the birds. I also love the competitive situation." Type of Impairment
Spinal Cord Injuries (nol.hu, 18 Jan 2013)

Origin of Impairment
Acquired (nol.hu, 18 Jan 2013)

Impairment Details
She was involved in a car accident at age 21, which resulted in her injuring her spinal cord and breaking both legs. (nol.hu, 18 Jan 2013)

General
KIDNEY
She did not take up any sport prior to her accident due to a kidney condition. "When I was a kid, I was banned from sports because of my kidney disease, even though I inherited my dad's lean, athletic build and wanted to try a lot of sports. By the age of 18, I had persistent inflammation of the pelvic floor, and probably would never have exercised later. Not knowing how it passed, in any case, I received a lot of blood after the accident, which could have stopped one of the kidneys. When I had to go to a sports doctor because of my licence to race, it turned out my kidney was fine. I wondered, how could it have happened anyway? Has the system restarted from sports and heavy workout? Or blood transfusion? I couldn't explain it, but a lot of things happen in my life." (welovebudapest.com, 17 Apr 2018)
