"I didn't know anything about the sport, but I'd heard that it was included in the programme for the 2016 Paralympic Games for the first time, and that there were not a lot of athletes. I thought that there would be still possibilities for me to compete at the Paralympic Games, which I had given up on as a wheelchair marathoner. I felt like I'd found a new goal."
