She competed in Para shooting at the world championships in 2013 and 2014, and represented Italy in Para rowing at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Before her accident she participated in able-bodied athletics at national level in Italy, including finishing fourth in pole vault at the 2006 National Championships.
