She was involved in athletics before her accident. Watching videos of Para athletes on YouTube inspired her to continue with the sport after her amputation. Impairment Details
In 2019 she had her left leg amputated above the knee after being involved in a road accident. She was travelling to an athletics training session on a scooter with her father when a car hit them. "I always remained conscious. I didn't want to faint, I didn't know what could happen. Many people tell me that, even during the hospitalisation, doctors and nurses pointed this out to me - I was always myself. I immediately accepted my new physical condition, which for me is not an impairment. I tried to turn the page as quickly as possible."
