She took up Para athletics in 2016 and took part in her first competition in early 2017. (lyc-choiseul-tours.tice.ac-orleans-tours,fr, 01 Sep 2017; ouest-france.fr, 07 Mar 2017)

She played handball for three years and judo before the amputation. She took up Para athletics because she needed to run again after her surgery. "I didn't like running but after the illness I had this will of running. I don't know why but I have this need of taking out all my energy." She then discovered running blades during a manufacturer presentation in 2016 and decided to take up the sport. "There I met [French Para athlete] Marie-Amelie Le Fur. I was so excited. Running helps me think about other things, and to improve myself. I like the spirit of competition and seeing what I am capable of." General
PARA SPORT MEDIA COVERAGE
She is hopeful the 2020 and 2024 Paralympic Games will help improve the media coverage of Para sports. "We are clearly not publicised enough. There are incredible athletes in athletics, but also in all the other sports. For example, Marie-Amelie Le Fur, who has won gold medals, we hear very little about it, while other world record holders also do not get the media coverage they deserve. The last world championships in Dubai went unnoticed. It was the first time the world championships had not been on television in France. I hope that the Paralympic Games [in 2020 and 2024] will make a difference because a lot of initiatives are being put in place. People are becoming more and more interested in Para sport, and I remain convinced that if some Para sport championships were to be on television, people would be interested. They just don't dare to do it, lest it not be looked at enough, but I'm sure people would be interested to see it." (futursport.org, 02 May 2020)
